Steel profiles
Supplied by Canadian companies. Each profile below is drawn to its actual coverage and rib dimensions — pick the one that suits the building, or ask and we'll tell you what we'd use.
Roofing profile
29 gauge, grade 80 · reversible
A heavy-duty roofing panel with wide rib spacing that adds strength while keeping sheets easy to handle on a roof. The oversized siphon channel on the underlap rib helps shed water in driving rain. Works on houses, shops, post-frame builds and barns, and it can be run on sidewalls too.
Siding profile
29 gauge, grade 80 · lightweight
The traditional barn-siding look. Close rib spacing on a light panel makes it quick to hang and easy on the budget, and it can run vertically or horizontally on a wall. Matching trims, vents and fasteners are available in every colour.
Roofing & siding
26, 28 & 29 gauge, grade 80 · Canadian made
The most economical panel in the lineup and the one most people picture when they think of a steel roof. Nine-inch rib centres on a 36-inch sheet with an anti-siphon groove for a watertight lap. Backed by a four-layer paint system built for Canadian weather.
Siding profile
Deep rib · 34" coverage
The tallest rib of the four, which gives the panel real structural strength across wider spans. A good pick for shops, commercial walls and anywhere the sheet has to carry itself over longer purlin spacing.
Roof styles
Not sure what your roof is called? Here are the shapes we work on most across Huron County.
The classic two-slope roof. Simple, cost-effective, sheds snow well and suits almost any house or shop.
A steeper gable with a lower eave line, often carried down over a porch or bump-out. Common on lakeside and century homes.
Slopes on all four sides with no vertical gable ends. Handles wind well and gives a lower, wider look.
Framed windows projecting out of the main slope. Adds headroom and light to an upstairs or loft.
The barn roof — a shallow pitch up top breaking to a steep lower slope. Maximum space under the roofline.
